Why our department?
The department is unique is in many ways:
1. Extensive Use of ICT in Teaching/Learning.
- Democratic functioning of the Department: consultation and discussion with students on all academic and policy matters, students are given the right to communicate with teachers freely outside class hours.
- The Department gives access to its resources to students and faculty of the affiliated colleges under the University. This facility is currently being extended to students and faculty of other Universities in the country too.
- The Department offers translation services in Malayalam, English, Hindi, Gujarati and Tamil. Public documents are translated free of cost.
- The Department keeps its channels of communication and knowledge construction open – especially for research scholars from other Departments in the University.
- The department offers specialisation on very relevant subjects.
